Chattering Magpie

Daniel B. Griffith, perhaps better known within the Pagan Community as the Chattering Magpie, served as the Pagan Federation Regional Coordinator for the County of Derbyshire from September 2003 to March 2012. On stepping down from that role, Magpie became the first ever East Midlands Pagan Federation Deputy District Manager.

Chattering Magpie currently serves as the Summoner of the Hearth of the Turning Wheel, is a Brother Knight of the Loyal Arthurian Warband and a former member of the Association of Polytheist Traditions. He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham School of Nursing and works as a Staff Nurse in Orthopaedic Trauma.

Chattering Magpie chooses to define himself as a Traditional Pagan. By which he means he is a Polytheist, whose spiritual inspiration is derived from the traditional folklore and belief of the British Isles, with a direct focus upon his locality.

Chattering Magpie is a writer, photographer and ritual officiate, whose published works have now appeared in various Pagan journals and magazines. He has on occasion appeared on television and spoken on the radio as a representative of the Pagan Federation.

Chattering Magpie remains active within the Midlands Pagan Community having hosted lectures and rather less formal meetings, moots, family friendly picnics and much larger gatherings or festivals. He enjoys reading, walking and the theatre.
